Being a working mum of three boys while running a small business is no small feat. Some days feel like juggling flaming torches while riding a unicycle—chaotic, exhausting, and somehow still standing at the end of the day (JUST!)
There's a cup of coffee in hand, and chaos of getting two boys ready for school and one for college. Then it's off to manage the business—orders to fulfil, customers to support, products to photograph, and a hundred other tasks that keep a small business ticking.
Afternoon is school pickups, dinner preparations, and the endless cycle of washing that seems to multiply overnight (I swear there are more people living in this house that I don't know about). Somewhere in between, you're responding to customer messages, updating your shop, and trying to keep everything running smoothly. It's relentless, and there are days when you wonder if you're doing any of it well or how your even coping.
But then something magical happens. A customer leaves feedback. They tell you how much they loved their personalised gift, how it made someone smile, or how your product arrived perfectly wrapped and ready to give. In that moment, all the late nights and juggling acts feel worth it. You're not just running a business—you're creating moments of joy for people. You're building something meaningful while raising three incredible boys who are watching you work hard, chase your dreams, and show them what determination looks like.
That feedback is fuel. It reminds you why you started this journey in the first place. It's the reward that makes the hard work feel purposeful, and it's what keeps you going when the to-do list feels endless.
To every working mum out there doing the same—you're doing brilliantly. The feedback, the grateful customers, the proud moments with your children—those are the real measures of success.
